In the steel-belt equipment industry, one question customers frequently ask is: “Do you manufacture the equipment yourselves, or are you a reseller?”
Behind this question lie deep-seated concerns over product quality, delivery lea-times and after-sales support. Today we take you inside the NAUT assembly workshop in Jinshan, Shanghai. Through real-world on-site footage, we document the full journey of steel-belt equipment, from individual components to finished complete machines.
The steel-belt granulator is one of NAUT’s core products, widely deployed for granulation processes in the chemical, food and pharmaceutical sectors. Inside our workshop, granulators follow a strict assembly workflow: frame welding & correction → steel-belt tensioning unit installation → drive-train commissioning → cooling / heating system connection → no-load full-machine trial-run.
This granulator shown here has completed final assembly and is awaiting inspection. The concentricity of steel-belt rollers directly determines belt running stability and granule uniformity, with assembly deviation strictly controlled within 0.02 mm. Before delivery, every granulator undergoes a minimum of 48 consecutive hours of no-load testing and simulated load testing, guaranteeing stable performance upon commissioning at customer sites.
Steel-belt flakers are designed for cooling and flaking of molten materials, demanding outstanding steel-belt flatness and high cooling efficiency. Within the flaker assembly zone, steel-belt tensioning and centring adjustment is performed — one of the most critical assembly steps, which directly governs consistency of flake thickness.
NAUT flaker frames adopt integral welding followed by stress-relief treatment to prevent frame deformation during long-term operation. Cooling rollers pass dynamic-balance verification to eliminate noticeable vibration at high operating speeds. These details may not be visible from external appearance, yet they define equipment stability and service life over years of continuous production.
Steel-belt presses represent the largest-capacity units in the workshop, mainly applied for continuous compression and forming in wood-based panel and composite-material industries. Press frames and pressure platens require high machining accuracy, and assembly calls for coordinated work by multiple technicians.
Within the press assembly area, hydraulic piping layout and platen parallelism calibration are executed in accordance with formal work instructions. Every hydraulic power unit undergoes pressure-holding testing prior to shipment to ensure leak-free and stable pressure output.
